About Snap!
Snap! Orlando is a 4-day photography celebration showcasing the work of renowned international and national photographers, as well as images from emerging local talent. The event and its programs are designed to inspire and galvanize a community of art enthusiasts, from novice to seasoned collector, around a shared passion for the photographic medium. Hosted in Downtown Orlando, the theme of Snap! 2012 is “Urban Wild”. The event will include multi-venue exhibits; receptions and special events; educational seminars; student and community competitions; youth programs; and much more….
About Instant Snapification
Instant Snapification is a cell phone photography competition hosted by Snap! Orlando. The contest is designed to encourage amateur and professional photographers alike to challenge themselves creatively and to unite the community around a shared project.
The Contest
This online competition invites anyone around the globe to submit a digital photo related to the theme “Urban Wild”. Pictures are to be taken ONLY with a cell phone or smart phone. All qualifying submissions will be posted on the Instant Snapification website for public viewing.
Contest Theme: “Urban Wild”
Photographers are to depict the theme “Urban Wild”. This theme, however, is open to interpretation and photographers are encouraged to be unexpected and innovative.
Judging
Photos will be evaluated not only on how well they convey the theme but also by how creative and compelling they are. The competition is initially judged by our online community via a star-rating system which yields the top contest images. From those, a panel of industry professionals will select a final overall contest winner. All qualifying submissions will be exhibited on instantsnapification.com.
Prizes
All qualifying submissions will be exhibited on instantsnapification.com. The overall contest winner will receive a prize courtesy of VitaminWater.
